Into the tank and to maintain fuel supply line pressure They both do the same thing, allow fuel to flow in one direction only.Ĭheck Valve Operation: The pump outlet containsĪ one-way check valve to prevent fuel flow back If an external checkvalve causes some type of problem then an intenal to the pump checkvalve would do the exact same thing. Adding an external CV does no harm and simply puts a small component in the fuel line that replaces the the one that is normally in the tank. If it fails it's as if there is no check valve what so ever. The fuel pump assy has a check valve in it already to prevent fuel from draining back into the tank. Sorry but that thread does not state that a new check valve was a problem and only 1 person posted inthat thread stating that an external CV didn't help and that his problem was in fact a FPR problem
